St. Egbert Home and School Association Volunteer Opportunities

Hot Lunch
Lunch Monday through Friday from 11:40-1:15.
Description: Parents help organize and serve lunch for each class.
Talents: Any parent who has ever served a meal can do this! Working parents can come by on their lunch break!

PE
PE Monday through Friday from 12:00-1:00.
Description: Parents help students learn exercises, prepare for Sonny Hyman field day, organize games and teach good sportsmanship.
Talents: Enthusiasm and a love of the outdoors! Stop by on a lunch break!

Hospitality
Description: Organize and bring goodies to Home and School meetings and other social events throughout the year. There are approximately 15 events, some have refreshments, other events require ordering flowers or a gift.
Talents: Love to hostess a party! Like to bake or shop for baked goods!

Seafood Festival
Description: Prepare shrimp the week before the Seafood Festival, help set up the booth on Friday, or work the booth Saturday or Sunday for a 4 hour shift during the Festival. This event helps raise approximately $16,000 for Home and School and requires involvement from all St. Egbert families.
Talents: Thawing, building, cooking, selling, and having a great time!

Silent Auction
Description: Help organize the auction items, hire a caterer, decorate, send out invitations, etc. This event was scheduled in February last year and raised approximately $15,000. This is the most exciting event of the year and is a great time to have a night out with your friends!
Talents: Throwing a party and inspiring great auction items.

Used Uniforms
Description: Used uniforms needed are donated to the school for resale to other students. The money raised is used by the Home and School Association to support the school's needs.
Talents: The desire to clean your closets of old uniforms that no longer fit! Sign Up Here!

Computer
Description: Help students learn computer skills based on their grade and experience. St. Egbert follows a computer curriculum which makes it easy for the parent to guide the class.
Talents: Basic computer skills. There is a training session to help the parent learn the particulars of the computers in the computer room.

Library
Description: Help students pick out and check out books, and read the students a book based on the season, a class favorite, or an appropriate subject chosen by the teacher and parent.
Talents: Enjoy passing on the appreciation of good literature to children!

Curriculum Enrichment
Description: Help find and schedule various groups to help enrich our student's education with cultural arts events throughout the year. The volunteers will also help assist the events schedule for the current year.
Talents: Love of working with children in a creative environment!

Sponsorship
Description: Find Corporate and Parent sponsors for the Curriculum Enrichment program. A program is printed which includes levels of donations and thanks the local businesses that support this program.
Talents: Keeping the arts alive in our children's worlds!

Yearbook
Description: Designing the yearbook. Our yearbook is hardbound and full color from Jostens and is an excellent keepsake! Student Recognition Ads and Business Ads are available, and help support our yearbook fund.
Talents: Taking lots of pictures, simple design and layout, and selling ads. Sign Up Here!
