Please remember all tuition is due by Friday, May 25th .  ALL TUITION MUST BE PAID IN FULL before academic records or final report cards will be released.

The last day for Home and School Hot Lunch  and Milk Service will be:
Milk - Thursday- May 31st 
Hot Lunch- Wednesday - June 6th  

Our classroom hot lunch program went very well.  Our school is very grateful to Mrs. Jo Ann Newton for being our Hot Lunch Chairperson again this year and to all our volunteers who helped serve lunches each day.   Jo Ann, you are wonderful and we appreciate you! The profits of our hot lunch program for grades K-5 will be spent in the classrooms and help pay for classroom field trips!

Simple To Do Fund Raisers

Thank you for participating in the General Mills Box Top For Education Program, Target, and our Food Lion Fund Raiser.  Our school received a $203.80 check from General Mills. A $94.03 check from Target and a $45.50 check from Food Lion.

Congratulations

to Kindergartner Max Gugliotta who won the County wide Morehead City Sesquicentennial poster contest for grades Kindergarten thru Second Grade.  Fourth Grader Blair Pearce won the essay contest for grades Three thru Five.  We are so proud of them both!

Lenten Service Project

Kindergarten thru Second Grade collected 100 baby items that were delivered to the Department of Social Service. “Baskets for Babies” was their service project.  Third thru Fifth Grade collected $355.84 for “Operation Rice Bowl” which was give to the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging.  We thank our children for the love and care they show for God’s people who are in need of our help.

Library News

All library books are due back to the library by Friday, May 25th .  Don’t forget to enjoy a good book over the summer.

SPECIAL THANKS

A very special thank you to  Shelly Miller Henry for being our Yearbook chairperson. Shelly did an outstanding job.  We know you will love our 50th Anniversary Yearbook!

Kindergarten Musical

Ms. Stacy’s and Mrs. Sauer’s Kindergarten class cordially invites all St. Egbert Catholic School families to attend our 2nd  annual musical.....Bugz.
The community performance will be on Thursday, May 24th at 6:30 PM in the parish hall.  All are welcome! 
There will be a Bake Sale Fundraiser to follow.  The proceeds will be divided between purchasing additional math and science instructional materials and a charity of the Kindergarten class’s choice.

FIFTH GRADE GRADUATION

Friday, June 8th   is the final day of the
2006- 2007 school year.  Students  in grades 1-4 are required to attend and be present to receive their final report cards. 
(Students are to be attired in Winter Uniform for our Graduation Prayer Service). 

Final dismissal will be approximately 11:00 AM out the back door of the school facing Shepard Street.

Our Fifth Grade Graduation Prayer Service begins at 9:00 AM in the church.  Graduates are expected to dress appropriately for a church service.
(Girls - Sunday dresses - No sun dresses)
(Boys - dress slacks, shirt and tie)

A reception will follow the ceremony for the graduates and their families in the Parish Hall.  The reception is graciously provided by our 4th grade parents and our Home and School Association.

Parent Evening Orientation and Open House Night - Thursday, August 23rd
6:00 PM - Kindergarten-Parents
meet first in the classroom.
6:30 PM - orientation in the Parish Hall, followed by a meeting  with your child’s classroom teacher in the school. 
This evening is for adults only.

First Day of School -
 Monday -August  27th
Student orientation will take place on August 27th and 28th  with a noon dismissal.
A more detailed letter will be sent to you this summer.
